The New Generation of Energy Production: The Role of Cogeneration

The European Union and the whole western community have started a new process of a drastic revolution in energy systems that will no longer be able to count on many of the large fossil fuel plants. The international climate and energy agreements set emission reduction goals to prevent the global average temperature from rising 2C above preindustrial levels and pursuing efforts to keep it below 1.5°C.

The decarbonization process that has therefore started in the European community stimulates the increase of production with renewable sources and the gradual decommissioning of large coal plants.
In this scenario, cogeneration and gas generation will represent an important element in the new energy production network, together with renewables and storage system, it will enable to create a dynamic and smart network, capable of adapting to user requests and increasing the overall efficiency of the system.

In Europe and other western countries, after the introduction of Gride Codes, only extremely advanced control systems can ensure full compliance with the requirements of the grid operators. ComAp with its controllers compliant with the European Grid Codes, accompanied by WebSupervisor for advanced cloud-based monitoring and analytics app, represents a solid reference for packagers who want to build modern and reliable CHP power plants, offering its customers the possibility of reaching the maximum production efficiency.
