Standby System

Auto Mains Failure (AMF) systems are typically used as a standby power source, operating where grid power may be unreliable, or where mains power cannot afford to be lost.

Situation

Automatic mains failure (AMF) systems are typically used as a stand-by power source, operating in locations where grid power may be unreliable, or where mains power cannot afford to be lost, for example, in hospitals or data centres.

ComAp Solution

InteliNano NT Plus in AMF mode continuously monitors the mains supply, and in the event of a failure, automatically starts the engine then switches the load to a standby gen-set. The controller’s integrated over/under voltage and frequency protection systems ensure that the generator is fully protected at all times. InteliNano NT Plus communicates with the engine management unit via a CAN J1939 bus and shows engine values and alarms on a graphical LCD screen.
