GECON is short for generator controller and is a purpose-built framework for marine and some land based applications. On most large marine vessels, there are two power generation systems, one to power the boat engines, and one providing the power for the vessels onboard systems, (lighting, air-conditioning, hydraulics etc). Although ComAp has marine certified products for both power generation systems, we also have a marine certified generator controller and remote displays specifically for power control for onboard systems. This is especially useful if the vessel already has an onboard control system, or for a retrofit. The primary functionality behind GECON is to protect the generator only, in these applications engine protections are handled by a separate controller.

Benefit: GECON allows ComAp to fully integrate across all of the ships primary propulsion system and generating systems.
